WHAT'S ON IN AUGUST 2020
August is Women’s Month and that means a whole lot of events for the ladies. Lockdown means most will be hosted virtually so gather your girl-tribe on Zoom and have a girl’s night in… online.

SEED BY TAMMY FRY
If you’ve been considering a transition to a plant-based lifestyle but aren’t sure where to start – then this event is for you!
Seed by Tammy Fry (Director of The Fry Family Food Co., plant-based nutrition leader, animal rights activist, creator of The SEED Blog) is all about making your transition to a plant-based life simple and easy. Get the low-down on vegan hacks, bust those all-too-common myths and learn how to meal plan for your family.

ONLINE COURSES
It’s not August specific but there’s no time like the present to upskill. Whilst a number of educational facilities and online universities have offered significantly reduced course fees as a means to maintain a little cash flow during lockdown, there are also a number of free courses available online which also provide you with assessment and certificates as proof of completion. Alison.com is one of those portals who have a number of courses available for free across a wide range of industries including languages, health, marketing and humanities to mention but a few.

COVID SECRET SESSIONS WITH PRIME CIRCLE
This pandemic hasn’t been easy on the entertainment and events industry but many of the bands, freelancers and artists involved have been using their talents and typically South African resilience to keep the country entertained online throughout lockdown. One such band is Prime Circle and their next virtual concert takes place online on 8 August. They’re promising a show filled with international guest artists, flames and a virtual production unlike anything you’ve seen before. Their marketing is being kept on the down-low though so make sure you follow them on Facebook for more details.
